Everything we know about the world today follows an invisible set of rules-how we work, love, parent, spend our money, and define success. But what if we could remove these outdated ideas and start anew? What would our lives look like if we could redefine the meaning of happiness, purpose, and success? The Code of the Extraordinary Mind blends computational thinking, integral theory, modern spirituality, evolutionary biology, and a little bit of humor to provide a revolutionary framework for re-coding ourselves with new, empowering beliefs and behaviors so we can live extraordinary lives. Throughout, Vishen Lakhiani shares transformative insights from legendary thinkers including Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and Arianna Huffington, among others, helping us to think like the greatest creative minds of our era-questioning, challening, and creating new rules for our lives. Lakhiani's 10 laws help us retrain our minds to grow and achieve more than we ever thought was possible, showing us that we do not need to follow convention and can succeed on our own terms no matter where we are starting from.

Extraordinary Minds in PDF, EPUB, Tuebl, Mobi and Kindle:

Fifteen years ago, psychologist and educator Howard Gardner introduced the idea of multiple intelligences, challenging the presumption that intelligence consists of verbal or analytic abilities only -- those intelligences that schools tend to measure. He argued for a broader understanding of the intelligent mind, one that embraces creation in the arts and music, spatial reasoning, and the ability to understand ourselves and others. Today, Gardner's ideas have become widely accepted -- indeed, they have changed how we think about intelligence, genius, creativity, and even leadership, and he is widely regarded as one of the most important voices writing on these subjects. Now, in Extraordinary Minds , a book as riveting as it is new, Gardner poses an important question: Is there a set of traits shared by all truly great achievers -- those we deem extraordinary -- no matter their field or the time period within which they did their important work? In an attempt to answer this question, Gardner first examines how most of us mature into more or less competent adults. He then examines closely four persons who lived unquestionably extraordinary lives -- Mozart, Freud, Woolf, and Gandhi -- using each as an exemplar of a different kind of extraordinariness: Mozart as the master of a discipline, Freud as the innovative founder of a new discipline, Woolf as the great introspect or, and Gandhi as the influencer. What can we learn about ourselves from the experiences of the extraordinary? Interestingly, Gardner finds that an excess of raw power is not the most impressive characteristic shared by superachievers; rather, these extraordinary individuals all have had a special talent for identifying their own strengths and weaknesses, for accurately analyzing the events of their own lives, and for converting into future successes those inevitable setbacks that mark every life. Gardner provides answers to a number of provocative questions, among them: How do we explain extraordinary

You'll learn- How to attract the right people- Focus not on hiring into specific roles, but hiring people who fit the culture you're trying to build. How to create a motivated, inspired work culture- Vishen shares the four emotions that are dominant across all people looking for jobs so you can hire the right people. How to create a culture where employees live better lives outside of work- Vishen shares his theory that we should work for the "minimum effective dose"--working harder, not longer, taking advantage of short spikes of energy to get a lot done. How to coax the leadership instinct in your people- You should want your employees to be so good that they eventually leave you! How to prepare for the future of work- What will the workplace look like when AI and robots replace employees and universal income is implemented? This is a guide to transforming your beliefs and habits to realize happiness, achieve success, and fulfill your purpose, using the exact strategies Lakhiani used to fuel Mindvalley's explosive growth.

A journey into one of the most fascinating minds alive today—guided by the owner himself. Bestselling author Daniel Tammet (Thinking in Numbers) is virtually unique among people who have severe autistic disorders in that he is capable of living a fully independent life and able to explain what is happening inside his head. He sees numbers as shapes, colors, and textures, and he can perform extraordinary calculations in his head. He can learn to speak new languages fluently, from scratch, in a week. In 2004, he memorized and recited more than 22,000 digits of pi, setting a record. He has savant syndrome, an extremely rare condition that gives him the most unimaginable mental powers, much like those portrayed by Dustin Hoffman in the film Rain Man. Fascinating and inspiring, Born on a Blue Day explores what it’s like to be special and gives us an insight into what makes us all human—our minds.

SECOND EDITION. In The World of Ted Serios, Jule Eisenbud, a Denver based psychiatrist and psychical researcher, examined anomalous "thoughtographic" phenomena ostensibly produced by Ted Serios, a Chicago hotel elevator operator who claimed he could mentally produce images on unused Polaroid film. Because "instant" Polaroids were developed immediately, skeptics could not easily attribute success to darkroom chicanery. Eisenbud, a seasoned investigator of anomalous phenomena, conducted thousands of trials with Serios over a three-year period between 1964 and 1967. Hundreds of images were produced as well as so-called blackies and whities-Polaroids that were massively under or overexposed, produced either when the film hadn't been unwrapped or under other conditions clearly ruling out under or overexposure. Eisenbud and multiple witnesses tested Serios in different locations, often under conditions that seemed clearly to rule out fraud-for example, separated at considerable distance from the film or camera. Nevertheless, the images continued to appear, and sometimes they bore striking similarities to sealed "target" images Serios had been challenged to duplicate with his mind. Magician and debunker James Randi, as expected, claimed it was all fraudulent. But despite Eisenbud's substantial financial incentives to magicians to produce the same phenomena under the same conditions, neither Randi or others accepted the challenge. More than fifty years on, Jule Eisenbud's investigation into Ted Serios' thoughtography is one of the most intriguing cases in the annals of anomalous phenomena.

Each of us has the capacity to spot opportunities, invent products, and build businesses—even $100 million businesses. How do some people turn ideas into enterprises that endure? Why do some people succeed when so many others fail? The Creator’s Code unlocks the six essential skills that turn small notions into big companies. This landmark book is based on 200 interviews with today’s leading entrepreneurs including the founders of LinkedIn, Chipotle, eBay, Under Armour, Tesla Motors, SpaceX, Spanx, Airbnb, PayPal, Jetblue, Gilt Groupe, Theranos, and Dropbox. Over the course of five years, Amy Wilkinson conducted rigorous interviews and analyzed research across many different fields. From the creators of the companies ranging from Yelp to Chobani to Zipcar, she found that entrepreneurial success works in much the same way. Creators are not born with an innate ability to conceive and build $100 million enterprises. They work at it. They all share fundamental skills that can be learned, practiced, and passed on. The Creator’s Code reveals six skills that make creators of all kinds of endeavors breakthrough. These skills aren’t rare gifts or slim chance talents.
